Dr Tovah - Congratulations on 5 wonderful years!

Ever since working summers in the office when she was younger, Dr. Tovah could not wait to become a pediatrician and join the family business.

Dr. Tovah attended the University of Illinois at Urbana and then went to Rush Medical College in Chicago. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital and was honored to be chosen as Chief Resident for the 2021 academic year. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as well as Gold Humanism Honor Society and has won numerous awards for her work with pediatric patients and families.

Dr. Tovah joined Schwartz Pediatrics full time in July of 2021. When asked about her new role at Schwartz Pediatrics, Dr. Tovah says, "not only am I excited to work with my dad and brother, but I could not be more honored and privileged to advocate for the health and wellness of your family! I can't wait to work together to ensure your child is thriving at every stage."

When not working, Dr. Tovah loves to spend time with family and friends in the Chicagoland area. While she appreciates a good Netflix show, she also loves to read books (Harry Potter is her favorite), listen to podcasts, and practice yoga any chance she can.

Dr. Henry "Elie" Schwartz - Moving forward

Since joining Schwartz Pediatrics in 2015, Dr. Elie has grown both personally and professionally.

He got married in 2018 and his daughter Joie was born in 2021. He is a devoted husband and father. He definitely has learned that fatherhood has made him a better doctor.

Dr. Elie continues with his prenatal visits to expectant parents.. He enjoys being part of their journey. He believes great parenting begins before the baby is born. His nurturing style allows him to connect well with expectant parents by providing them relevant information while reassuring them about what the next few months will bring.

Dr. Elie remains active in his spare time. He rides his bike, runs, works out at the gym, and has started playing golf. He encourages all of his patients to get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day along with a balanced and healthy diet.

Dr. Elie...keep up the great work.

Dr. Dave - 37 years and going strong

July 2025 marked Dr. Dave's 37 year anniversary at Schwartz Pediatrics. He is delighted to be a mentor to his childrren. He recently stepped down as chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Ascension St. Alexius Medical Center Hoffman Estates (SAMC) after ten years to spend more time with his family.

Dr Dave's favorite part of the week is spending time with his granddaughter. Their adventures include the library, playground, water park, and mall. It is a special but exhausting time which is why he can't wait for nap time (for both of them).

Dr. Dave remains an avid bike rider and constantly promotes bike helmet safety for his patients. Several years ago he joined up with Health Plus Physicians Organization and some local bike shops in a bike helmet safety campaign by awarding “Helmets R Cool” t-shirts to all the participants. You can see those yellow t-shirts all summer long.

Schwartz Pediatrics has been providing outstanding care to the community since 1981. The doctors are avid supporters of breastfeeding and belong to many different insurance plans.

They see patients starting as newborns and continue their care over many years until they graduate from high school. Along the way, the doctors handle a wide variety of medical problems ranging literally from A to Z.

In addition the doctors help families deal with behavioral questions, school difficulties, and psychological issues. The office staff is excellent in assisting with patient care.
