Privately insured:
We currently have a limited supply of Moderna vaccine for the 2025-2026 season and are offering these doses in the office for patients 6 months through 4 years of age.
State insured:
Have yet to receive our supply...will keep you posted.
What's available for 2025-2026 season:
For children under 5 years of age, Moderna is the only COVID-19 vaccine
available for the 2025-2026 season.
For children 5 years and up, Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are available.
For children 12 years and up, Novanax is also available.
Where can I get my shot?
For older children we recommend obtaining the COVID-19 vaccine at your local CVS/Walgreens (they will vaccinate children 3 years and older).
Who should be vaccinated?
For children 6 months - 23 months, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends all children should be vaccinated due to their high risk of severe COVID-19 infection.
For children 24 months -18 years, the AAP recommends vaccination for children if:
- the child is immunocompromised
- the child has medical comorbidities that may lead to severe COVID-19 infection
- the child is a close household contact of someone at risk for severe COVID-19 infection
- or if the parent/guardian desires his/her child to receive the vaccine

Seasonal Flu Vaccine 2025-2026

Flu shots are available currently for both privately insured and state insured patients.
We strongly recommend everyone ages 6 months and older should get the flu vaccine this year.
It is best to get the flu vaccine by the end of October.
As always all vaccines used at Schwartz Pediatrics are preservative free.
